Shuo Yan's post put me in a very favourable light but i probably need to add in a dash of reality. For the 100m guys, I came in second in my heat. There were 6 heats(groups of 8 running) and non of the trackers were in my heat. With a timing of 12.68s, my chances of making it to the finals are pretty slim. Our class did well for the 8*200m under the circumstances of having lost 37.5% of our first-choice runners. We came in 7th in our heat(12 classes competed so there was a heat of 8 and another of 4). Min Yang, Dennis and Amdis are to be commended for enthusiastically filling in for the ppl who couldnt make it.
Im in total agreement with Shuo Yan that class support was severely lacking. Only Xiang Xu and Shuo Yan came down to support us. Had there been stronger support, our belief would have being strengthened, our spirits enpowered and we would have brushed aside any class that stood in our way.
For my previous post, while i was rather critical of someone, there was no need to remove the entire chunk(whoever it is). After all, censorship of extra-intellectual property is not to be encouraged.
random joke: (might be mildly offending)
Four surgeons were sitting around discussing who they like to operate on.
The first surgeon said, "I like operating on librarians. When you open them up everything is in alphabetical order".
The second surgeon said, "I like operating on accountants. When you open them up everything is in numerical order".
The third surgeon said, "I like operating on electricians. When you open them up everything is color coded.
The fourth surgeon said, "I like operating on politicians."
The other three surgeons looked at each other in disbelief. One of them asked why.
The fourth surgeon replied, "Because they are heartless, gutless, spineless, and their ass and head are interchangeable".
